We are happy to present you the highlight of Jenna & Justin’s sweet beach wedding held on the west coast of Florida. We love weddings of all kinds, but outdoor weddings hold a special place in our hearts. Not only are the bride and groom surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends, but also by the calming energy of nature. Jenna & Justin were lucky enough to enjoy the gorgeous backdrop of a private beach on the Gulf of Mexico at the La Playa Resort in Naples, Florida.

This sweet, fun-loving couple met early in their college years at UCF, and not surprisingly, it was love at first sight for both. They clicked right away, enjoying their relationship for nearly six years before saying “I do”. Making their day all the more special, they were joined by guests who traveled as far as Scotland, where Jenna was born and raised, and accompanied by their golden long-haired daschund, Bailey. Their emotional yet light-hearted ceremony was followed by an intimate dinner/reception celebrated at La Playa’s restaurant, with The Brett Foreman Band providing the tunes to bring a perfect wedding day to a close. We thank Jenna, Justin and their families for having us be a part of this special day and we wish them a lifetime of happiness!

We connected with Susan and Marius instantaneously with our mutual love of sweets and our canine companions. As we got to know them, we realized how their similarities and differences made them a perfect fit. Susan is high-spirited and very expressive whereas Marius is more grounded and laid-back. Yet, they tend to finish each other’s sentences and even manage to gift each other the same exact card on their wedding day! If that isn’t proof of a perfect match, then I don’t know what is! Their day was full of emotion, from Sue shedding tears while walking down the aisle to the amazing reception party complete with a choreographed first dance and Brazilian Samba dancers at the end of the night. We thank our friends Sue and Marius for their constant love and support and are so happy to have been a part of their day.

As filmmakers, we love to tell all kinds of stories, but we are particularly attracted to the stories that capture human emotion at its best. What could be a more joyful and emotional milestone than a new life being brought into the world? There are few moments that are more beautiful than the arrival of a little person who has been patiently waited for and who was loved long before their first breath.

That is what attracted us to documenting the birth of Juliette, the daughter of our good friends, Tenchi & Frank. Already incredibly loving and attentive parents to their 3 year old son Jonathan, Tenchi and Frank were keenly aware of effects that having a new sibling can bring to a toddler. They worked on preparing Jonathan for Juliette July 29th arrival, getting him excited and letting him know that he was to be her protector. Juliette would now be looking up to him and he has to defend her and be her Super Brother. So, for this film we decided to focus on Juliette’s birth from the perspective of her Super Brother Jonathan. Children have a natural curiosity and overall cuteness about them, and Jonathan is no exception. Incredibly smart and adorable, it was such a great experience for us to try to see this special moment from his eyes. We are sure that Juliette will be safe and happy, as long as Super Brother is watching over her.

Here it is….our first Indian wedding! If you’ve never had the pleasure of attending an Indian wedding, please know that it’s nothing short of epic. They are amazing 3-day events that include bright jewel tones colors, awesome music, beautiful culture and lots of parties, each one better than the last!
We were blessed that our first chance to document such a fantastic event was for an equally fantastic couple! Rina & Anup are truly amazing people. They are like those people you know who are the same age as you, yet they’ve accomplished so much more that almost you feel inadequate!
Anup is a Yale Medical & Business school grad (though he’s a Florida Gator at heart), while Rina studied Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Florida. They use their spare time to run a charity called Cents of Relief that is dedicated to providing educational opportunities, improving healthcare and stopping human trafficking in vulnerable populations. Despite having accomplished so much in their short lives, they are a sweet, down to earth couple with a loving and supportive family on both sides.
Rina and Anup’s bridal party, who live in various places across the world, put together a choreographed Bollywood-style dance to be performed at their reception. They each practiced on their own, using a YouTube video to rehearse until they were all able to finally meet on the day before the wedding and go over it together. The result of their practice was awesome!
We were also lucky to have an amazing group of vendors working with us. Their crazy-talented photographer Apresh, was able to Skype with us ahead of the event and gave us insight and advice on all of the ceremonies and traditions in Hindu weddings. Jennifer J Events was responsible for designing a jaw-dropping event, from the decor to the flawless execution of a wedding weekend with over 300 guests.
It was an amazing experience for us and we’re so grateful to the Patel families for their constant support. Rina & Anup, we wish you lots of love, happiness and success with all your amazing endeavors!
